Maybe this will be the Emmett Till moment of the Syrian regime?

I really hope so. That and it doesn't take years to achieve their goal of overthrowing the regime, nor the deaths of any more innocent Syrians. Am hopeful that the goal will be achieved in months, but certain that lots more blood will be shed to achieve it.

"He would often ask his parents for money to give to the poor. I remember once he wanted to give someone 100 Syrian Pounds ($2), and his family said it was too much. But Hamza said, 'I have a bed and food while that guy has nothing.' And so he persuaded his parents to give the poor man the 100."

Wow. They tortured this sweet child. I hope there is something on the other side waiting for the people who did this.

Any examples of Arab states respecting basic human rights? 22 case studies. None of them good.

But this has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with religion or culture and anybody who says so is a bigot.

The man wants to know where is the human rights council? Just take a look at its membership:

[Link: en.wikipedia.org...]

Do you more than one-quarter of these countries to do the right thing?

Why says that?

There are thousands of hideous stories like this one. Endless...

This is typical of the Arab states that all too many on the left would hold up as "civilized" and "peaceful" and "victimized."

Those who would debate what is going on in the mid east need a careful look at painful, repulsive realities like this one.

I would agree that even one would be "all too many", but I don't think "holding up" "the Arab states" as "civilized" and "peaceful" is common on the Left. But yeah, "victimized". And it's true. If you think these states consist of nothing but internal perpetrators, you are a fool.

If you want to criticize the status quo of the Arab states, you have to talk politics and economics (if you don't want to go down the racist rabbithole). And suddenly things become a little more global.

Given that 'the left' was complaining about the state of the Arab states long before it ever came attention to the right, I'm really not sure what you're talking about.

The narrative of the Palestinians is pretty much the exclusive one where those on the left get it significantly wrong. You don't get a lot of people on the left saying that Syria is awesome.
